TIMETABLE FOR Band Identity ASSIGNMENT

ACTIVITY
1

Introduction to course and explanation of the assignment paper ‘Band Identity’.
Also coverage of the course blogger methodology along with demo of how the assessment framework is embedded.
All students given a supporting handout with a ‘step by step’ guide with examples. On screen examples of other previous student work to aid understanding of system.
Handout with a list of clear categorised areas to research to give the learners a starting point.
Explanation to group in lecture theatre so that all group understanding as one what is required. Groups announced and a talk about individual and team work good practice.

Continued research and development and experimentation of the blogger websites and the uploading of an image to ensure all learners show an understanding of the routine. All images relevant to their chosen theme/genre.
The second part of the delivery will touch on the criteria the students must meet for Unit 7 and Unit 23 along with how to attach the label tracking gadget.
Screen display of the ‘Design Cycle’ along with associated handout.
Talk of the importance of evidence in the design cycle and the ability use a form of reflective practice to inform and improve personal performance.

Talk on the use of other departments to enable the use the best resources for their projects both team and individual.

Independent research of the photographers / music industry to suit their chosen theme.
Some students will also start to add images of their own that they will of taken to give them some media to work with.

All students blog sites linked to registers to enable tracking by tutor.
All students encouraged to start to ‘follow’ each other via the ‘Followers Gadget’ so they can comment on each others work.
Also to add Recent Comments gadget to display what they have been advised to do and when.

Evaluation and consolidation of whole blogger website and way of working.
Online critique of work / websites produced. Ensure all students moving on from group have an active blogger website and can refer to the tutor/ student website to view information to allow clarity of evaluation.
